The proactive Saudi Civil Defense team has just rescued an Asian maid who was about committing suicide by jumping off the sixth floor of a building in a residential area in Riyadh, Arabic daily Sabq reports.
The maid, who is an employee of a Syrian family, managed to reach on to the window AC panel on the outer side of wall and then threatened to jump down..
The rescue team swiftly moved to the residential tower in Al-Maadhar district and tried to persuad the woman not to jump, after series of talks between the woman and the rescue team, they were finally able to convince her not to jump. The police has launched an inquiry into the incident.
